Juwel 200W Heater Question

Good morning.
Could anybody tell me what size fuse I should have in the plug for the 200w heater please.
A friend has loaned me a heater as mine packed up yesterday but I'm not sure it's heating my tank enough. I have a juwel 240 tank and it's only heating to 21-22 degrees on full wack.

A 200w heater on 230-240v supply only draws about 0.8a,so I'd put a 1amp fuse in (2amp would be fine too,probably a better option tbh).

Juwel provide a 200w heater for their 260litre tanks,so it should be fine in yours?

Maybe it's not kicking out 200w anymore?

It has a 3amp fuse in the plug so I'm guessing that as you say John it's not kicking out enough heat now.

Yep,sounds like you'll have to get a new heater

Is the heater getting good circulation around it? Try turning it on its side also.

yeah turning the heater on its side increaces the convection column.

how old is the heater?

I have been out and bought a new heater. The tank has now heated up to 25 degrees so it was defo a new heater needed.
