I got lucky as a dog....

I happened upon a shop the week they were changing suppliers and they wanted to clear out all their aquariums. They typically cater to small aquarium hobbyists so he had this big ole thing taking up too much room and wanted to get rid of it... like I said, I was shopping for a 90 gal......
Nutcase..... check Advanced Aquatic Pets in Belmont sometime.

http://www.advancedaquaticpets.com

125 gallon tank top light and stand $499.99

I just wish I had the money and space for that bad boy :(

Check out glasscages.com They are known to be one of the cheapest aquarium manufacturers to many fish hobbyists, and the prices you see come with stand, etc..

Wow, I just checked this link and the prices are really cheap. Have you bought a tank from them and, if so, is it good quality?
I know they are cheap!!! No, I haven't boughten any aquariums from them, but I am also a member at piranha-fury.com under the same username, and many people there LOVE that site, and they always reccomend it to newbies, so I thought that I'd refer it to you. Oh, you might want to check the shipping price, if you aren't close to their home base, but they might charge really high. I don't know if they do or not, because I have inspected the site that thouroughly before.

Usually to get a tank from glasscages.com, you have to meet them at a tradeshow and pick it up. One of the local reef guys is ordering a 150 from them, and driving up to Raleigh in I think September to pick it up, when they're at the reptile show.

regarding glasscages.... I recently joined a local based forum and have read posts of happy customers as well as repeat customers looking for a second (or third, etc) shot at buying products from them. I've heard it mentioned that you must specify you are looking for a 'fish aquarium' as some of their 'glass cages' are meant for reptiles and are not built to hold water.

I've also heard the complications of shipping when dealing with them. It's one of those things... to save money you have to accept other hassles...

Regarding the place 17 miles from me that has 125 Gal set ups for $100 cheaper than I paid... DAMMIT!
