They are adorable! I had one once many many years ago and I just loved it. And you know, I don't remember him ever eating any of my smaller fish. But then I overfeed and I readily admit it. So he probably wasn't hungry enough to eat other fish.
I had a Chinese Algae Eater once and he was such a great little fish too. A lot people don't like them, but that fish never bothered any other fish. Never sucked them on the side or anything. Had a personality of a dog. He would swim to front of the tank and stand on his front fins and look me through the glass. I loved that fish.
