Hello!

I just moved to New York City and set up my 29 US GAL aquarium, and I'm happy to say that everything is going well. I have four three-spot gouramis (one male, three females, if I sexed them correctly) and I can't believe how well they are doing.

Before this, in my old place, I had six bala sharks, three moonlight gouramis, and a pleco in my 29 GAL, and I had a 10 GAL with swordtails and panda cory cats (my favorite fish). Right now my 10 GAL is on reserve in case I need a quarantine or I have any fry.

I just wanted to thank the people on this forum, as the advice given here has been invaluable in setting up my latest tank. I did fishless cycling on this latest tank, got the right ratio of gouramis (I think) and everything is going beautifully. I hope I can contribute what little I know to anyone who needs my help.

Okay, I think that's enough of an introduction, but I will leave you with a picture of my four gouramis:

hi very nice pic, please just dont buy bala sharks for it again!

Don't worry, I won't. I learned my lesson there. They didn't bother each other at all, but I think the gouramis were afraid of the sharks.

Awesome! The next time I get pandy cories I'd like to get eight or so. I think it would be great to have a herd of them (to me, pandas don't seem to school, they seem to herd). :)

hehe lol, mine can be so lazy they just group together under a log i have in the tank for hours and hours! however looking at the tank now they are about stuffing their faces lol. i really like the way they scurry about hehehe!

Hey! :hi: to TTF!
I have some gouramis too...........anyways.......yeah, HI!

Hello Dave,

I'm new to Fish Forum but have keeping fish for about three years. Both freshwater and Pond fish.
Your tank is beautiful and the gouramis are looking very happy and healthy. Just to let you know..pandas are my favorite too! My three just became five! I have two babies that are now about 28 days old.

Koigirl :D
