Hi everyone, I'm very new to keeping an aquarium (just brought my first 10 gallon tank home a little over a month ago), and I just registered here so I thought I'd introduce myself and my tank :)

I started off with a blue betta and 3 platies - one of them being a mickey mouse platy, and the other 2 being something else (I have no idea what kind of platy they are as the store simply called them "platies"). Just yesterday I added 2 black tetras and an african dwarf frog. So far everyone seems happy together, so aside from a bottom feeder to help with the cleaning I won't be adding any more fish.

That's about it ... I have a million questions (especially about the mysterious, though very nice-looking platies - one of whom I think is pregnant but I'm not sure), but I'll save those for the appropriate forum :)

Hiya sandro and a big welcome to the forum!! :hi: :hi:

Hi sandro and welcome to the forum :D

I'm glad to see you have a little African Dwarf frog. I just love the little guys.

There's a link in my signature that will give you a lot of information about them.

Enjoy the forum!

Thanks! Yeah the frog was a really nice addition to the tank. He seems to be getting along well with everyone, even though he doesn't let the betta push him around like the other fish do :)

hello and welcome. I wish you luck with your new tank. One piece of advice though, if you have frogs in your tank and have any fry you might want to separate them. My DEMON frogs ate all but four of my guppy fry. Good Luck and ask as many qustions as you like.

How's your frog doing?? I am quite interested in how they do in tanks............ :D

He/she is doing great so far, but it's only been a day so far :) I'll keep you posted.

I'm still trying to figure out if it's a male or female ...
