So I got a couple of female rams a month or so ago and went to get 2 males today. They were very hard to tell apart in the shop and the guy got what he thought were males. And when I got them home, yep you guessed it, looks like two more females. They are also of the long finned variety and not the ordinary shape. I can't keep buying bloody rams though! lol

Why don't you take these two back then and swap them for another 2.

Yeah bring them back. Rams are so hard to sex I always end up with crazy males and hate eachother so I gave up and have one pretty male.

Ok I might do, but I won't be able to for a while. I'm not entirely sure if there were actually males in there though. I know it's odd and there are usually all males but this place seems to be full of females!

Best solution in my opinion would be buying a group of 6 or so, wait for a pair to form then return the rest.
