Just got some Upside Down Catfish

I got a little school of 4 UDC. Right now, they are hiding behind one of my pieces of dritftwood. They are so adorable

UDC's are lovley fish, extremly active at twilight

I havent seen how they eat yet though. For those who have experience with these guys, HOW do they eat?

Just seem some pictures on the internet of them, they dont look the same (uh oh). But they are swimming upside down and they are schooling.

I also noticed that each picture of a upside down catifish looks different.

y dont you get a blue moon light and watch them at night like i do with my fish? Chris.

i have just got an 6" udc (i thought it was a featherfin) but it swims upside down all the time so i guess its a udc not featherfin (they look the same eccept the swimming habbits i guess)


this one was eating lance fish (frozen) this morning

They're great, funny, entertaining fish. Supposedly they swim upside down to eat the bugs and eggs floating at the surface of the water. But they will turn over to get stuff at the bottom. Have fun w/ your new fish!
