just got my two little oscars today!!!!!

today i got this pair of two little albino oscars!!! they are about 1.5 inches long and are so so so cool.

they fit in awesome with my two big blue gouramis and two hoplo cats....

my hoplo cats are still not eating tho. (2 weeks now !!)

my only question is....how much do i feed them?
they eat soooo much....i just fed them then...
they ate about half a cube of brine shrimp, 12 or so little gourami pellets each and a few dried blood worms, and are still looking at the surface for more!

the gouramis have gone to the other side of the tank because they are satisfied but the oscars are still there 5 mins later lookin and me and at the surface....

how much is enough? they are greedy little buggers to...my gouramis are about 4 inches...(easily over tripple the size of the oscars) and the oscars are snatchin food out of their mouths and swiimin round like they own the joint already!

Hi birdman,

I fear you will have problems in the very near future....

....oscars grow big, are aggressive and will not tolerate other tankmates - infact if you have 2 males they more than likely not tolerate each other as they get bigger... - if you have a male and female you may well get lucky and they'll pair....

What size tank do you have?

Oscars will eat and eat and eat. If you feed your Oscars as much as he will eat you will end up with fat and unhealthy oscars. Use discretion and common sense when you feed, and don't feel bad if they look hungrey, they always look hungry!

i am thinking of trading the two blue gouramis and hoplo cats back to the fish store and getting a rainbow shark....

hopefully they are male and female then
