i use medicing syringes..i dip a pot into the water..the suck up water into the syringe and squirt in the tubes.
As has been said already ..dont let the ppm go over 4ppm as it breeds the wrong kind of bacteria.
Adding the plants in a fishless cycle will feed on the ammonia..slowing down the cycle.
