A friend of mine was getting kribs and after reading up on them they seemed like pretty cool fish. I do know however that they can and will be aggressive. However i have a rainbow shark, that is the bully of the tank. Will the Kribs put him in his place or kill him? If they will kill him I need to find mr rainbow a new home.

well how big is the rainbow and how much gold is at the end of it  im thinking too much about my leprachaun friends

i mean how big is the rainbow shark and what size tank are u putting the kribs in

I have 4 kribs, 2 albino and 2 non-albino.

My pair of albinos and totally fine. They chase other fish away from their spot but there is no seriuos aggression. However, when kribs are breeding the can and will get very aggressive, especially against lower dwellers. I have a rainbow shark and mine have no problems.

I think the bigger the tank the better though.

My female of the non-albino variety is very aggressive, certainly the most aggressiove fish I have got. All 2" of her. At the moment I have her in a 10US by herself as when she was in another tank she harrassed the male krib, the cories and the barbs.

Unfortunatly I am that Friend thats Offering that Psycho Rainbow Shark a new home. :sly:
Dunno what i was thinking

LOL

Rainbow sharks are known to be aggressive with other sharks and shark shaped fish!

It's not the otos that are being bullied by any chance is it?
actually every fish in the tank was even the pleco, i believe he was getting more aggressiv since i took him out of the 55 and put him in the 29 so hence, less room more territorial.

Ok Mr Shark went to my friends home , and keeping a low profile for now.. My kribs didnt have a chance to enjoy there new 29 before i re arranged and changed gravel. i will post pics soon as soon as my digital camera comes in the mail.... I bought a cheap 2.1 mega pixel....but that is fine for me to take pics with... :p

Well if you found a home for him maybe that's best. A 29g might have caused a bit of conflict, especially come breeding time.

look forward to the pics...enjoy your kribs, they are great fish!
