Okay guys, i went to my LFS yesterday and pick up a female apisto nijsseni and a male german blue ram that i'm trying to hook up with my female. The problem is that my female is huge and the male that I bought is half the size of the female. As soon as i put the male on the tank the female is chasing it all over the place, I'm worried that she would end up killing her new tank mate cause she did kill my other female ram. What should I do??? I'm thinking of getting 2 more female rams to distribute her agression, but I think i would be overstocking if I do that??? Any Ideas people?????

Depending on what your lfs has, you may want to consider taking the female back and getting a smaller one if you can't get a bigger male. 2 more rams would be a bit much.

Based on what you've got listed in your siggy, your focus probably should be on the discus and getting your one some buddies. Are there plans for that?....

No not really cause i don't have any money for them anymore...they all went to tuition fees...lol.. I'm going to try someday with DIscus if i get my own place. This is my only Discus left after my tank was hit with Hex and he's almost fully grown and doing really well. There's no way i'll get rid of my female because i have her for almost 7 months and i've never seen any rams that's her sized. I bought the male because I just wanna see if they would actually breed.

Well, they can't breed if they're so incompatible they kill each other :/ I guess you could try 2 more rams, but it might do more harm than good.

I think personally I'd go back and get another male and see if she pairs off with one of them. Who knows, maybe she just doesn't find the new one attractive. Try to find the biggest male you can.
