it basically looks like a short plastic tube that fits snug into the pipework using the rubber connector. it has a round ball shaped plastic bit on the end. coming from the ball are 2 nozzles/jets that can be moved up, down, left or right to alter the flow direction.
ive probably just confused you more with my description

this FX5 is doing an ace job my tank looks completely different as its cleaned the water!! no lie the tank looks brighter as the water is obviously being cleaned!!!! Bizarre!
It looks more clinical now as its notgot many plants in yet
