Lol.... "Hickies"? That sounds like a made up name to me! Maybe they are hillstream loaches or some kind of stone sucker? Could you describe its body shape or provide a picture?

they are chinese algae eaters but the marble virsion but on this other site it said it could give other fish hickies but i havnt got a clue what hickies are

a hickie is a lovebite (I prefer to call them 'slag-tags'). But anyway, it sounds more like it will attack it and cause damage rather than lovingly bite it.

Oh dear not great at all I'm afraid. They tend to turn aggressive as they grow and certainly with two you are almost waiting for disaster to happen - sorry to be the bearer of bad news in light of the fact that you've just picked up a "bargain"

Your cories and plecs will almost certainly suffer - and other fish in time too. I suggest you take them back sooner rather than later.....

I would be more worried about 2 of them together- they may attack other fish but they will definatly kill each other for sure as they mature and having 2 in the same tank will also make them twice as terotorial as they normally are on their own- getting a good deal in a fish is one thing, but getting a good fish for your tank is another...
