I have an aqua medic percula 90. Two common clown fish, a pink stripe goby, and I hope a tiger jawfish still. Had him for about a month. Put a towel over the tank for the first few days as advised to stop him jumping out. Every night after lights out though he kept jumping up to catch whatever those weird creatures are that skim the tank at night, so we got a net to put over the tank as a permanent feature. Two nights ago we heard the same splashing noises he makes followed by a strange bang (well probably not quite that loud). We ignored it. Yesterday I couldn't find my jawfish - he's usually got his head poking out somewhere looking for food. I started to worry. As soon as lights went out last night we heard the splashing noise again but it didn't sound the same so we got the torch in there, pulled the cover off the filter compartments, had a good look around, - couldn't see a thing. This morning I had another look into the compartments and found a very still - dead looking jawfish on top of the bioballs filter in about 1cm of water. He'd managed to jump through a one inch gap into the turbo flotor and from there through three different filter compartments. I retreated in tears, my partner came to fish him out when to our surprise he jumped up and into the tank. He's in his hole now looking particularly stressed and breathless. Hope he's okay.

Sorry to hear that, hope it pulls through ok :(

What do you thinik about the Percula 90 by the way? I'm getting one in a couple of weeks so would be good to hear from someone who has one.

Seems to work really well. It's only been up and running for 10 weeks so far. Takes a while to get the water level right, and the gates at the right level to get the turboflotor working properly but once that's sorted no problems,....apart from if you've got jumping fish....just fabricated a plastic gate to cover the hole between the tank and the filters. There's no escaping this time.
