This is my 12yr old Meghan and she's been an invalid for more than 3 years..... (Arthritus in all 4 legs)..... she has to be carried everywhere, but her communication is fantastic.... we know exactly when she wants to go out.... when she wants water..... when she wants food.....when she wants her blanket pulled over etc. etc. She has developed different ways to tell us whatever the need may be..... Best companion ever..... (she knows all my secrets and will not tell).....
