Hi,

I currently have a Boyu 550tl tank.

Does anybody have a problem with fish jumping into the back compartments? If so has anybody got any ideas of how to stop this happening?

Any advice would be very welcome.

Thanks.

I have the same tank and am picking up clowns next week, so looking at modding mine today to stop them jumping over the back I have 2 possible plans to reduce the risk either some egg crate and silicon sealant or some weir comb material.

I had the same clown jumping. I think the cats were jumping on top of the tank (thats got stopped).

Let me know what you decide to do. I was thinking about a small sliver of perspex & maybe using that TMC putty to stock it on with.

Weir combs will do it :good:

However if it happens, don't spend hours trying to get them back - just raise the water level to aas high as you can get it without it overflowing on your carpet  and they will swim over in minutes, then just lower the water again

ps perspex will work just fine - use reef super glue so that it doesn't look ugly

thats a good idea didnt think of that i have problem with the Helfrichi Firefish jumping into the back of my overflow box

Brilliant idea to get them back seffie!!

I would use eggcrate over the top of it or a weir comb, either should work.

i have the same problem in my tank (not marine)

i slightly lowered the water level; then again you could just do like you said with some perspex etc
