catfish was very lucky to get them both of his/her pictures in the heats seems that only 1 of them got 2 nominations

hey wwestar i know puffer freaks picture of Conker is a really big threat to you because its such a great picture, but face it your not going to get it disquallified

i was really stuck on who to vote for puffer freaks Conker or wwestars Coron, but after reading this thread i desided to vote for puffer freaks Conker, its such a great picture its got beautiful colour and the timing was excellent, good luck Conker!

I think the pic qaulity is much better in conkers pic. I did use a webcam afterall. But even that I still think the animal in my pic is much more better looking than pufferpacks. Got to face it he probably really wanted to win this compition if he was so eager to go take pics of his friends cat. K gotta go, going to go take pics of my neighboors dog.

Did you realize that puffer freak just wanted to show the members of TFF her friends cat just because she thought it was gorgeous? Not everyone puts pics up in hopes to have them nominated you know My kittens in this competition, but I honestly don't mind whether he wins or not, just the fact that he was nominated makes me happy. Over competitive people killed the fish of the month competitions, lets hope that doesn't happen to this OTM

Since you all want rules such as these then I will talk to William and see what he wants to do. I really didnt think it should matter. This is called the pet section and if people wants to post pictures of someone else's dog or cat for God sake what does it matter if it belongs to them or not.. If this is the way you all feel. When people post pictures of someone else's pet then why nominate it...This contest was meant for fun the reward isnt that big any way so why debate over who's pet it is. If everyone of you all feel that way then I guess I will have to go over the rules and change them. But lets not do it on this thread. This is the competition and it should be used for comments on the pets. Start another thread and if enough members feel the same way then I will change the rules providing William says it is ok...

I voted for Shaka...she is very beautifuol and very refined looking. She look almost egyptian!

But I have a question..how come all the nominated pets for July aren't in the poll?

Ya Scotty and Monty didn't get nominated, if going by rules, that picture should be removed.

As the rules are a bit vague (this didn't used to be a big contest) (http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=99005), an actual set will have to be written and pinned. Then there won't be any questioning in the future.


But, for now, I think the poll should just remain as is. Angel Lady has put a great deal of time an effort into this. If you're going to be nit-picky and start making snide comments about elephants and rhinos, POTM may just go the way of TOTM and FOTM........... Keep that in mind. This is just for fun, you don't win any great awards or monetary prizes. Its just a way to show appreciation for our pets. So enjoy it.

Now get back to voting and may the best pet win.

Well said MAM. I wont keep this contest going if they are going to be big issues made. This is the first month since it has been going that all these complaints have been made..So lets please just keep it fun or we will lose it and I cant say as I blame William if he did take it...

Oh I know Im just saying I read the thread where catfish said that both of those pics were nominated -Scotty and Monty- and no one nominated that pic

I went through the nominations and sure enough the two dogs wasnt nominated. So I took them off from the poll. I am sorry for the confusion... That was a mistake but the dogs didnt get any votes so they are nothing to worry about. This is the importance of pinning the right picture. Sorry again for the mistake. But if the correct pictures would have been posted this wouldnt have happened...

I had to keep coming back to look over the pics time and time again as they are all really good, but i went with the cuteness vote and picked the ferret sleeping in its bowl.
