Looks like could be one of 3 things, spray bar, heater or a diffuser.

What is the color? Because my guess is good as yours lol. On the left side I have intake and output. Right side heater and the little black thing is part of my fixture stand.

Looks like a big black tube, but on second inspection I see its a heater. Must have been tired last night maybe my eyesight is playing up lol
