Well flame and cinders doing well. Flame still chases cinders.... I really hope they become friends. Still think its food issue. Flame doesnt seem to chase as much if not feeding time. Frig flame seem not know when to stop begging for food. I think it keep eating until it explodes. Think cinder same...are all blood parrots gluttons?

From the research I have done, yes, blood parrots are like labrador retrievers, they will eat until they make themselves sick....

Another thing that I've mentioned before, and could just be due to my lack of experience with this particular fish, are the black spots. Based on what I have read about blood parrots, they turn black when they are stressed out. I wasn't able to find any useful sources for this, I just googled "blood parrot black stress" and I see people talking about it, but it's not like anyone has written any academic papers about it so I don't think there's much scientific stuff to go off on.

Again, I don't actually have my BP's yet so I don't have experience on this, but the juveniles I've seen at my LFS are all bright orange, and cinders has a lot of black on him which I don't think is the normal coloration for the fish. I'm not sure if a rescape would help or some other intervention to ease the bullying.

On the other hand, it is reassuring to hear you say that things are getting better Maybe it's just a time thing at the end of the day

No, cinders a baby. When they young they are brownish colour when they get older they slowly change to orange. Which cinders is each day. But what I find interesting is cinders eyes are black... it don't have the yellow iris as flame has....are they like budgies, eyes when young solid black but get the yellow Irish when full grown....? Cinder black/brown color almost gone. I swear its diminishing each day. I'm curious to know if cinders be darker orange the flame. They are not siblings and not from the same pet shop

I think it might be rare getting a blood parrot when juvenile and colour not adult... in another forum I kept getting people telling me its not a blood parrot. So I did a lot of research and found that YouTube video above which prove its a blood parrot but a young one.

Its hard to find the genetics on them thats for sure.
