no just the one Shelagh a guy I know round here who buys and sells marine stuff agreed to swap my river reef for this one which is a swap Im made up with :good:

right Ive rescaped the tank, Its such a hard job and made so difficult with the water going cloudy and having livestock in there. Ive taken the sponges out the jewel filter as well and put carbon in a tight and my submersible light with the cheato

That rescape looks great, Simon!!

:good:

Zoas pop with blue lighting. You got a way to light the zoas under blue light? Looks like you've got some eagle eyes & nuclear dragon eyes it seems to me.

Cheers Lissette Im happy with the rescape

Going to have a go at getting this skimmer running later its a prismand when i plug it in nothing happens, I probably need to prime it or something

One issue I have discovered as Ive now found my thermometers is the temp is only 23.4 and 22.8 on the two digi thermometers Ive tested with. Clearly too low but heater is on the max so I need to sort a heater. Only problem is this one fits the space in the jewel filter box

Haha, I can see your reflection snapping pictures too. LOLOLOL, and the wallpaper.

Hopefully you can get it running. I didn't read positive reviews of the skilter filters.

Oooo, that is a might low, though in Winter my nps really liked being that cold, and I never had to run heat in my Biotope. What is your temp goal? May only be a temporary solution if you do choose to go with Halides down the road for your nem.

Is your heater 300wats? Jus askin cause mate has a rio 180 and his temps are fine. Good luck with priming your skimmer my deltec was a pain :p. had to get a piece of pipe hold it over my filter outlet and pump water into my skimmer inlet tube cause it wouldn't suck enough water into prime :p

I am loving the rescape Simon - it is going to look even more stunning once it beds in and you get some more frags in there. Really like the shape you have made the rock work into.

Yes I they are both MH and are 1m long (but the lamps are about 25cm in from each end with a short actinic t5 in the middle. The 150's are great but when I started keeping the kinds of coral that really need high lighting I found the 250's had more punch to get the light to the lower regions of the tank.

cheers Ainsy, just had a little disaster I managed to prime the skimmer so thats working, used a bit of hose from filter outpipe to inpipe of skimmer, also got temp up Ive changed heaters for now its not a salty heater so will need to get another the one i have put ins a spare 200w I had havent taken the old one from rio out yet

However I knocked load of rock off messing with the skimmer, havent redone it yet just moved it safe and I'll refer to my pics here to get it right again :good:

Oh no! Hopefully you'll get the rock in the right place again.

The lighting is a tough call. I've got a single 150w MH over my 36g & it's fine for my sea grasses. If he did various coral strata, the 2 150s may work. If he wanted sps throughout or a nem on the substrate, he'll need the 250s.

What do you want to do? This can potentially be an amazing tank, the hard scape is fabulous & the coralline on the rocks is a beautiful color. Lucky Simon, good upgrade. Very exciting!

:D

Never seen that type of skimmer before Simon - how are you finding it? getting some nice gunk out of it yet?

well Ive not done much to the tank last couple of weeks, just done some water testing tonight and really need to get the corals fixed to their proper places

ph 8.3
nitrate 10
nitrite 0
ammonia <0.25
magnesium no reading
calcium no reading
kh 5.1 too low?
alkalini 1.82 too low?
salinty 1.029 too high

Im confused by these results. my magnesium and calcium using salifert stayed the same colour and didnt change colour by time all the qml of added drops ran out
salinity too high also but not sure if refractometer is out will check this weekend
