hey all - how are you guys -

Just went to my local Petsmart because i didn't feel like traveling all the way to the place where i usually buy my fish.
I bought 2 Hemichromis guttatus (Jewel cichlids) and put them in my 55 gallon rocked all Malawi Mbuna tank.

After i got home and looked them up i realized they are not from Lake Malawi but from different regions of Africa and are used to a lower PH of aroun 6.5-7.5. My tank is arounf 8.2-8.4

They seem fine but wanted some opinions.

Thanks guys

(2) Maylandia lombardoi (Kenyi Cichlids)

The pH doesn't really matter. I bred some in my pH of 8.4, they can be mean fish. They should be fine.

Not so sure it's a good idea.
They are all aggressive and it might not be a good mix. Especially if the Jewels start breeding. If it was me, I wouldn't add them to a Mbuna set up.

It's not a matter of if the Jewels will be fine, it's will the other fish be okay? As long as the others are bigger than the Jewels, they should be fine. I would keep a watchful eye though.

Been watching since Sunday and all appears peaceful. all the fish are juvies and about the same size.

If the decide to breed when they are older, it will cause problems.
