Got 3 young jewels last August. They were about 1 - 1.5 inches then and still grey. The largest soon started turning red and was in full glory by Oct. The medium one eventually started turning reddish in Feb and is currently a pinkish colour. The smallest is still in juvenie silver grey colours. They are all siblings from the same batch of fry. Apart from the fact that the largest bullied his siblings and maybe ate more food, can't understand why they developed at such different rates.
Will the greyish one ever turn Red? Is there anything wrong with it?

I dont have any experience with jewels, but the only advice I can give is patience. Overtime the jewels will eventually get some colour. There is no need to worry, and its the same like humans, some humans grow quicker/more than others.

The jewels ae almost a year old now so surely they should have reached adult size and colour by now?
