Hey! I just finished reading this beginning to end. Your tank has had several really good designs. I did like it when it was a little fuller the best. It got a little empty looking for a little while. I am glad to see you are adding plants again.
Have you ever tried rotala wallichii and micro swords? I think they would look pretty good in there. There is a crinum that has a long thin crinkled leaf that sort of curls (I can't think of the name right now.) That would be great in there.
I wish I had your tank and talent with plants and decor. Mine is small and looking like crap, but I am trying. I am in the beginnings of my first attempt at a real planted tank. It's not pretty! lol
I was getting kind of bored with mine too. I never thought that would happen, but your tank has given me some thoughts...
Now I have to start researching again.
Thanks for helping me. ( Even if you didn't know that was what you were doing)
Keep putting up the pics. They are beautiful and very helpful for those of us with no decorating skills. :good:

Hey everyone. I have been away for a vrey long time, and the sad thing is, I knew I would be.

However, it is with great sadness and heartache that I report to you all that I have striped my tank down, and have taken my fish back to the amazing petshop that I purchased everything from in the first place. I am wathing the water drain now, and I feel... i don't know.... like I failed them?

I have recently moved to a new city to have another go at college, and it was impossible to take the tank with me being as large as it was, and the strain it would have put on my limited student budget.

I really appreciate all your help and comments and words of encouragement over the past few years. I know my tank would not have progressed as much as it did without the amazing members on this site.

I won't be gone forever... as soon as I am working steadily and have a more permanent home I will be setting up another tank, I hope. I may even take my 15 gal with me and do something small, but I don't think that will be for a while.

Again, thanks for sticking with me and showing your support for my work.

All the best Jen :) don't be a stranger, just cos you don't have a tank doesn't mean you cant stop by and say hi once in a while.

Hope college goes OK, good luck with the study and life, see you around sometimes perhaps :)

Sam

Sad to see the 90g go. It was a stunning tank. A 15g is great to work with, however, and I had a planted one in college too, so don't think that it'll be too long off. Good luck to you in school. What degree are you going for?

llj :good:
