Java Moss

when i bought my gecko tank i got live moss in a bag with the vivarium. i just wanted to know, will this moss be ok to attach it to a half coconut shell with string and put it in my community tank? i have read up a thread about this subject but wanted to know if this moss will 'grow'?

The moss you got with your Gecko tank is more than like Spagnum (sp) Moss and not Java Moss. If it is, then no, it will not grow in your tank.

it is spagnum moss. whare can i buy java moss?

or ask LFS to see if they can order it in.
