This is ok in low light no c02 tanks yes?

Also I've seen it sold as just individual leaves or in pots. If I buy leaves when they grow do they form a bunch of leaves eventually?

How is it best to plant the individual leaves? Put a bunch together or plant one leaf and leave a space then another?

If I buy pots can I just leave them in the pot and put that in the tank? Just push the pot into the gravel to hide the pot?

Do they grow tall to cover the back of the tank?

Thanks

Java fern is hardy plants and do better if you attach it to like driftwood or rocks, instead of under substrates..and by far in my experience, it does ok without co2..but it would def beneficial for plants

That would be same as being under substrates..and roots bein inside of pot may not spread well...as java ferns grow a lot more sideways ( if im correct )...not like amazin sword ( where roots grow more in circle roundly shape )...if you only have a little leaf of java fern..then you COULD just put it in with a pot and see how it does..if it doesnt do well then just take it out and anchor on one of ur decorations and also see how that goes...give it a week or two as probation period and watch how your plant do...good luck ~

I wouldn't keep it in the pots. I'd attach it to a pebble or rock with superglue and place at the back. The leaves can get quite big. :good:

ah so I can't just put them in the gravel then? This is all so hard. I think I'd best just buy a rock with it already attached.

it's cheaper just to buy either a pot or ceramic ring, and get a pebble out of the garden. Superglue is only a £ or so. It'll take 20 seconds for the glue to dry.

I have some glass pebble things would they do. Do I just superglue the root to the pebble? One leaf per pebble or a bunch? Is superglue really ok to use in my tank? And then when I've done a load how is it best to place them? In groups or just individually across the back?

Sorry to ask so many qiestions I just wanna get this right this time.

Basically as long as none of the plant goes under the substrate (gets planted), you can do what you like.

You can see my java fern about a foot in from the left side of the tank, sitting on wood, above the stone.

They can get big and need very little to grow.

I'm just gonna buy it already on a rock.

Now that's a planted tank. I wish I could get mine looking decent. I love your tank. I messed up with my background plants, they're just not doing well in my low light tank. The rest looks good and is growing. I'll just spend the extra to buy it on a rock. I saw a nice one on ebay.
