My jade eyes are a pair! not 2 males as minnnt thought :p haha

Ive got a ton of eggs on some bogwood. I did wonder why they were ganging up on the other fish lol

Do i remove the eggs? the only other tank i have up and running is a aquastart 320T with some HRP juvis in as a grow out...

I have an old hex tank with an undergravel filter i could set up.

This is the first laying of eggs ive had (other than a parrot fish i had. but they dont count)

Help?

Will do, although im not sure what to do. I'm stuck watching the tank! its so interested watching the Jade eyes match up to fish twice their size!

It's weird when cichlids start to breed because they go from peaceful to attacking anything which comes with a few inches to close :)

The Jade Eyeds won't tolerate any funny business, they can be extremely aggressive, my female is a swine sometimes!! Just because the fish is twice their size this won't have any impact on them at all when spawning.

And yes, i did believe you had two males due to neither of them shwoing a dorsal fin spot in the pics you posted. (I am blaming you for this for taking rubbish photo's!!) Is the spot visable now they have laid? Get some pics up!!

I blame my photography too... i suck.

Still cant see the spot... its weird, they are almost identical, except the female is slightly lighter. When i find them a new tank i'll get some pics up, that way i wont have a nosey angelfish, curious clown loachs or stubborn severums getting in the way :p

Has your female demonstrated any colour change at all? They're quite well known for changing colour rapidly.

Here is my female...

Although now for some reason she just looks like the plain old male.

alot of them have gone white :( about 2/3.

The pair are still there fanning them.

There does look to be less of them so i think someones been eating a few.

What species do you mean? Female in your recent post looks like Spilurum. Whereas the male looks like Sajica. I bred sajica myself. Pictures can be found under the Tbar cichlid profile on this forum.
