My pair (Jack and Diane) decided it was finally time to have kids. They gave me little to no warning (or i didnt know what to look for) and spawned about 400 eggs. These I took at the beginning of the spawning.

Yes, there are oscars in the tank. I did not try to breed the JDs, they just kind of did it on their own. Right now I have a temporary divider up that I built to keep the adults away from each other. I will be moving the Oscars to a 125g either today or tomorrow, which will be their permanant home.

THB, I didnt even know I had a male/female pair. But I am rolling with it, and trying to save as many babies as I can.

sounds good. they will be more relaxed if they don't have other fish eyeing up their babies.

Wow that is amazing. My female JD is my favourite fish and I would love to get her a mate some day. I am really jealous.

Well, it appears that this time around, the babies became a snack. I am sure it will happen again after we move the oscars out. Got a 125g that we are cleaning now to rehome them to.
