Gold saum's are much better looking than JD's imo. I am now growing out six little ones to try and get a pair. But both Demsey's and Saum's are interesting fish to watch as are all cichlids really. In my tank with the saums I have a mega Clown pleco and a green phantom pleco, neither reach huge sizes and both look great.

ye ive got a normal clown pleco at the moment i like the look of phantom plecs too what do other people think would make good bottom dwellers for Jd also not just plecos?

I have had Pictus cats in with my cichlids before, and they were fine. They also did a fine job of clearing any excess food from the substrate.

ah ye ive had convicts with tiger loaches before and get on ok both can take it and give it ( the noise the tigers make can be scary at times lol )
