So i fell in love with them and have ordered 15 from my local maidenhead aquatics , my cousin in newyork has 10 in her community tank with minnows and some livebearers so seeing as i have some 9 minnows , 7 limias and 2 swordtails in my 130ltr i'm going to give them a try in there ,
There are quite a few plants so should have plenty of cover , hopefully they will be happy in there cos they are a gorgeous little fish i'm starting with 15 and the will build them up to 20 or 25 if they are happy ,

They can also order me some galazy rasboras - are these good little fish ?

Thanks Sarah xxx

Just remember what size they are, depending on the size of your fish now you will have to make the call. The first (and only) galaxy rasboras that I have seen in CT have been about 1cm long. So if you ordered them just be prepared for perhaps some tiny fish.

I wold like to second the comment about size. I got some brigittae in September and they're only half an inch long, including the tail! The galaxies are much bigger in comparison. The ones I got early last year are about an inch long now. How big are your livebearers?

The brigittae are nervous little things, they've only recently started coming out of the plants, and their tank mates (in addition to the galaxies) are a pair of honey gouramis and a pair of peacock gobies, which are all pretty small themselves. I know I'll have to keep an eye on the gobies- they're about two inches at the moment and if they get much bigger they may regard the brigittae as food.

i have 4 galaxy's and they are great little fish. They swim constantly with a shoal of harlequin rasboras but they are tiny and only about an inch long. i have had them for about a year, 1 died very early on and another died of a growth on its side a month or so ago but the others are thriving and regular show signs of spawning. Some people reckon rasboras are boring but i love them. I also have some scissortails in the same tank and would love to get myself some Brigitte's.
