I've officially gone tank mad

I've got an 80 gallon, a 29 gallon, four 10 gallons, two 5 gallons, three 2.5 gallons, and fourteen 1 gallons all crammed into two small rooms. I've also got a 15-ish gallon tub and another 10 gallon in the storage room of our garagethat some of my betta fry are in :p
Anyone coming to our house thinks it's a little odd, but I'm proud of my eccentricities. I don't think anyone should ever be ashamed of something they love ;)

Wow, I can't believe how many tanks you guys have got!

I'm renting a 2 up, 2 down and I have just one 20 gallon tank in the living room. I could probably fit a 30-40 gallon in the dining room (if I squished the dining table up a bit)...but I just don't have the money to set up another planted tank.

How do you all cope with having loads of tanks? Doesn't it take up loads of time?

Does anyone have a tank that is actually in the wall? How does the maintenance work with those?

I,ve a 300ltr, 100ltr, 65ltr, 2 * 30ltr, 2 * 15ltr and 3 * 7.5 ltr in the dining room and 300ltr and a 98ltr in the living room, and i,m converting a concreat shed into a fishroom for my discus. MTS lol

eveybody that come to our house always takes the time to look at the tanks, there a real talking point.

All of the tanks in my sig are in my computer/fish room. Of, course, I just had to buy a bigger house this past April to be able to put them there.

I have a 75gal at the fron of the house, sitting underneath it is my 5gal. I have my 6gal all-in-one tank in the kitchen and my 30gal next to my desk. Underneath the 30gal is the 10gal.

I am ATM looking for a TV/entertainment unit that might be able to fit a 20gal tank on the bottom :p

And if I get rid of the BF I will have a whole room to fill with tanks (it currently houses his desk, the spare bed, a stack of drawers and a bookshelf). In that space I could get a 6ft tank, a few 4fters and a few little ones. And thats if I use floor space. If I built racks for the tank....well....thats another story

I've got a 30 gallon in the corner of the living room. This has soft water for Tetras and Rams and I wanted some Endlers so I'm setting up a 10 gallon in the corner of the dining room.
The breakfast bar in the kitchen has a 5 gallon with a male Betta, a 3 Gallon with a male Betta and a new 3 Gallon to be set up for my new male Betta which hasn't arrived yet.
My son has got a 15 gallon in his bedroom with his goldfish in.
I can't have any more - there really is nowhere to put them, we don't have large rooms :( I daren't even go to the KG Betta site again in the near future.....

Personally, it only takes me 30 minutes to clean all the big tanks using my beloved Python. About an hour goes into cleaning all the betta bowls, and around 15 minutes a day on the fry tanks.

This whole tank thing is getting out of control...I just purchased my 7th tank  It's a 10 gallon that I got to put my Betta smaragdinas in that I bought yesterday

My apartment isn't too big so it's begining to look like a pet store in here. I don't mind it but I can see the looks on my boyfriends parents faces when they visit and when other family members come over. For some reason I let it bother me and I keep feeling guilty for all the tanks I have.

I tell myself if only I could live near people from the fish forum then I wouldn't be seen as weird..I'd actually be normal :p

So anyways I don't have stands for all my tanks so I find tables and what not around the house. The new tank found a spot on the coffee table in the living room :*) The 3 biggest tanks all have stands and are scattered around the living room. One of my smaller tanks is on a table next to the dining room table and another tank has actually found itself to be actually sitting on the dining room table  That's only temporary though and it will be moved soon. Still though if someone visits within the week I think they will think I am nuts. I also have 2 betta bowls one in the kitchen and the other on the end table next to the couch

please tell me I'm not nuts for keeping so many tanks!! How many tanks do you all have and where do you keep them??

edit: Oh my...I forgot a tank...I have a 30 gallon in the hallway sitting on a low dresser (runs away and hides :*) :p )
No,no,no,no,no,nooooo. You're looking at this all wrong. They're the strange one's for being fish-less, I tell ya. It's them, not you!

I have 5 tanks in plain view upon entering the house (that's not counting the fishrooom OR the bedroom) and nobody has ever asked if I was insane or anything (besides my mother in law,but she has other reasons for her suspicion  ) and if they did ask,by chance, I would probably be like "huh?....whaaa..?"

I can always count on you wuv to put things in perspective

It's true though my boyfriends parents arn't just fish-less they are animal-less :S I'm not sure how you can go through your whole adult life without ever owning an animal not even a cat or a bird. That's weird to me!!

in my room i have
a 15ish gallon
a 3gal betta tank
and a 5gal hospital which also has a sail in it lol

i have a 200gal downstairs in the spare room where no1 ever goes

and a pond in the garden with 13 comets and common goldfish in it,and it has afew crested newts and frogs which just wanered in one day.

and a 44gallon in the garage for my sick goldfish or ones that need quarentine or for any goldie that cant go in with the others for whatever reason which @ the mo has a goldie with swimbladder

and i have a spare 30gallon with nothing in it...........yet

Upstairs all I have is a 65 in the living room. Downstairs in the spare bedroom I have 10g x 3, a 29g, 20g x 6, & 55g x 2. I probably spend 4 hours a week on tank maintainance.

Some family members/friends think it's a little excessive, thankfully I have an understanding wife. I could ditch all the tanks, pick up an older Camaro, drop in a bored out 350 with a hot cam & go street racing. Fish are safer.

I have 1 29 gallon, 1 10 gallon and 2 2.5 gallons in my room. Plus to add to that I have 3 birds in my room. Im driving my mom insane. And Im going to the store today to buy a larger bird cage thats around $300. I should just open a pet store.

I had 9 tanks running at one point but I have now cut it down to 6 tanks. Smallest being a 5 gallon and the largest a 150 gallon.

Don't feel weird. My tanks were all running when we were going to sell the house once, so we had people looking round and yes they did think it looked like a pet shop but they were pretty amazed..
