I want to keep Malawi cichlids, can any one tell me wot sort is best for my tank, and if anyone knows where the best place to get them from.

hi michelle.make sure your tank has plenty of rocks in it.ocean rock is a common rock that people use in their malawi tanks.check your ph of your water.ideally you need a ph of 8 - 8.5.if your ph is less than this then you can use coral gravel,or,coral sand to increase your ph.your tank is fairly small for malawi's.i would keep 1male and 3 female yellow labs and maybe 1 male and 3 female socolofi.these are only my opinions michelle.read some of the old posts on this forum and see what fish you like the look of.

i'd fill your tank with fish that don't get too big and don't get too aggressive.you could try tanganyika's.there are 2 good malawi sites to have a look at.1 of them is called malawimayhem,and the other 1 is called cichlidforums.
