Ive Been Busy..oh They Are Lovely :)

Glad the big tank is sorted.:)

For the kribs, maybe some danios or something equally fast to act as dither or targets, I would also put some more plants and caves in, break up any line of sight issues if you add more fish.

right i`ll get onto that (plants and caves-should have done it by now, but for some reason im shattered lol) but i hear what you say :)

Ive got that mini tank with a different colour hood :D

but looking good shelagh! Wish i could have as many tanks as you, although i did buy a tank today (but that was for marine ;))

I had two in my comm tank and they bred every few weeks without fail- mum was serious baby making machine. But they got very terratorial and terrorised everything else in the tank so I had to rehome them. Just bear this in mind if you are going to breed, only get other fish that can stand up for themselves! (but the babies are adorable)
yes i think i would like to have a shot at breeding them, so thanks for this advice :)

Its a dreadful addiction, once your hooked the best thing you can look forward to is bankruptcy LOL.

Now up to 4 tanks myself, just got another 50g with absolutely no idea what I want to put in it, but I couldnt resist. This hobby should come with health warnings!!!!

got a river reef 50 for marine shelagh, its a really smart tank you should get one! ;)

yeh ive still got the silver hood for mine!

Mine preferred to breed in a coco nut shell. They had babies all the time, and when they weren't breeding they where fighting. Kinda and interesting relation ship they had. Mom was really bummed though when dad ditched her for one of his daughters. I rehomed them all after about 2 years. They where little terrors!

i was gonna say typical guy trading her in for a younger model, but i wont say it cos all the guys on here will shout at me
how do u make a coconut smooth, sander?? or peel all the hairy stuff off??

they seem even more settled today, they are sitting next to each other (u know what i mean) all quietly,oh i really hope this works out for them :)

Sounds good, fingers X for them (and you :)

Get some sand paper to smooth off those coconut shells, I have coconut shells in all my tanks, think they look great :good:

I like the fur on the outside of my coconut shell.

Im sure my cats/plecs are eating it tho, i turned it over and there was a noticeabley less hairy side lol

Kribs are soooo Cool.
I would have them but thre temperament means a single tank for them.
They do breeed Like rabbits so might put them outside in a barrell and see what happens.

Is that a 3D background in there? Tank looks really smart. :good:

I currently have a breading pair of kribs in my 260l community tank and, though they chase other fish around a lot!, have not seen any physical damage incurred on any of their tank mates. They are wonderful parents, it really is cool to watch both parents 'take turns' sheparding the babies around the tank for food. My baby kribs are about 1 month old now and are spending less time with mom and dad but they are developing well. I have a aqua one 65l tank I was thinking of setting up as a fry growing tank so may see if I can catch some of the little cuties later on.

Good luck with the tank shelagh.

Regards,

bricko
