Itsa Dogs Life

I had two bassets, Jack and Jill. Jack died about a year ago, and Jill died about a month after him. All she did after he died was howl that mournful basset howl and make me and my husband cry. I honestly believe she died of a broken heart. As much as I love the breed, I can not handle the thought of that kind of a loss again. :-(

I wish i can say it gets better, but I still miss my hiking, howling, snuggling, floppy bassets now as much as I did the day they died. I hope They are all romping together like puppies, waiting on us to join them. :rip: :flowers:

cheers mate

Nice mate, great choice! :) Glad you finally decided! :good:
cant wait to walk a dog again I live inbetween two parks and just dont walk on my own

Don't or daren't? lol. It is a great feeling. I have recently started a new job in the opposite direction (geographically speaking) and have noticed hundreds of spaniels, literally hundreds!!

I went in the complete opposite direction with a non-sporting toy breed. I got a Poo-chon named Coffee. She is sweet, and so totally different from the couch cruisers. :D

I did see a weird mutt at the shelter recently. I volunteer there as I am a dog groomer in real life. A bunch of pit bull/basset hound puppies.
