I had just dumped it all in there last night, It looks much better now. I think I just need more sand now, there is lots of LR ruble and very little sand.

I'm going to get another Kg on Friday, it has got over 3Kg It just doesn't look like it , some of it is quite dense. The lighting is 50/50 11Watt, but I think I will soon be getting another because I ordered this one with out thinking . I think that it will work for a while, it seems to be quite bright.

p.s. probably me being stupid but could you use a bayonet day light bulb to help light a fish tank?

Get a few bigger pieces of live rock

I have got another Kg of LR the tank is starting to look really good , I will post some more pics.

This new live rock looks excellent, its covered in Bubble algae and other green things.

There is a clear Thing shaped like a tree any ideas as to what this could be? it is a coral of some sort I think .

how long should I let the tank cycle for?

get rid of the bubble algea its bad, let the tank cycle until nirtite and amonia are down to zero and then add a cuc when nitrates under 20, then wait a week or two and add fish or corals which ever you would like to add first
