itchy fish

my fish have just stared to rub them selfs up on my rocks and plants
there are no signs of white spot YET or is to come later.
any clues on what it could be?
don't no if this any help but my pleco seems to have faded colour round one side of it's body which at 1ST i thought was a fungle infection but hasn't got worst.
could this be why i have itchy fish

fish will sometimes flick if the nitrates are too high, maybe you should do a small water change

another thing...fish will gasp at the surface before an ich break-out....any odd behavior going on? Do you have a test kit?
