Is This The World`s Stupidest Dog?

I dont like either of the videos. The first one is sad, and the second one is just dangerous, pets should never be around fireworks and it could of hurt itself, other people or the other dogs, while they just stood and laughed at him?!?!?!?! I would have had a fit if i was there.

I can forgive people for thinking the first one is funny, because its not obvious that it has an illness to most people, but everyone knows how dangerous pets can be around fireworks. Not even that funny anyway.

Whilst we are all entitled to our own opinion, this was intended as a light hearted thread (some) people. Ask yourself this question about the first dog: Who filmed it and put it on the public domain?

My guess is probably the owner.

All of us are on this forum because our hobby is scooping up native S. Americans and S. E. Asians, flying them several thousand miles and sticking them in a glass box in our living rooms in the UK and the US. Let us just leave the moral high ground to other people.

SoCalMom, i think you need to lighten up a bit, you are the centre of most arguments since you got here and that is your answer for everything.

Yeah, i know i am against those videos, but they are laughing at serious matters. I know when to stop joking when it becomes a danger to humans and other animals. You are personally insulting someone who just couldnt help themselves and posted a joke.

Either find a new insult or learn that none of us are the serious type.

I know its a serious matter in some respects, but its a light hearted thread and i can't help my humor. Yes, my sense of humor may be slightly morbid or whatever at times, but i am sure like anyone here you must have laughed at things which may have not actually been that funny from others point of view?

Humor isn't always about whats right and wrong, we can't always decide our sense of humor, humor is humor and as far as i am concerned its not morally wrong to have have it. For example, i've silently giggled at my aunts dog walking into a wall (no its not blind, just very inbred/overbreed) or people tripping over nothing or people generally making idiots of themselves, but that doesn't mean i support violence towards animals or think its right to etc etc.

I totally agree, while most of us are more than happy to jump on the moral highground brigade, most of us are also hypocrites when we do this. Fishkeeping itself is not one of the most morally correct hobbies, afterall the hobby has caused the death of countless millions of fish, caused major damage to the environment and many types of habitats, caused polution and supported illegal or very cruel activities etc etc.
I'm not saying people shouldn't speak up on moral subjects, but i definately think people should think at least twice before throwing the first stone/taking the moral highground or whatever over others .

Why are you even preaching to me about the videos? Did I protest them? No. I said that no dog is stupid. If someone wants to try to start something for that, then they need a life

Trust me, I'm not the serious type either...but when someone just has to be immature for the sake of a joke, well, then they need to grow up

I definately believe that there are some dogs which are far more intelligent than others, dogs vary a great deal in their intelligence (just like people do). Saying there's no such thing as a stupid dog is like saying there's no such thing as a stupid human, which unless we are going seriously into the philosophical zone of debate here, is not true.
I have seen truly bright and intelligent dogs, and seriously stupid ones, as i said before dogs vary a deal in their intelligence, IMHO to say that all dogs are clever would be to not give credit to the dogs who truly are very intelligent.
