Is This Tank Suitable For Keeping Bettas?

still u must get permission to post any external links unless they arent in ompetition with tff

Im not promoting the site so I dont need permission, maybe a more experienced member could tell me if Im right, rather than someone with less than 10 posts?

;) 10 posts is not what i have ranked up. and your not so the expert/experienced member compared to thee
thanks

I didnt say I was any more or less experienced than you ffs! I got that website off of here someone else posted it! It says you have 9 posts so I assume you have been here for less time, so I was asking someone elses advise.

Arguing with me and not posting any useful advise isnt helpful is it?

Back to the subject quickly! Thanks for the info. I'll have to check out that shop in Gloucester (I think I've been there before adn was impressed with it, although i can't remember if that's the exact one!)

I think dividing the tank would be the better option. What would be the best way to go about doing this? Do I need to prevent the males and females from seeing each other unless I want to start breeding?

Thanks.

you will be better off keeping the males and females away from eachother apart from breeding. You can divide a tank several ways I would again say to have a look at the site I mentioned, and im sure there are topics on it on here too. Will have to go that Gloucester one myself!

just found this one http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=165412 Im sure there are more if you look

Unfortunately Zoe you cannot put links to other forums on here, even if you are trying to be nice :) You could link to the UK betta association website (which will link the person to the forum) Also I think you got ripped off at £83!!!

You don't have to spend masses to get decent fish if you wanted to breed one day. I mean, you couldn't breed with a VT from a pet shop, so you'd have to get another tank for the new male you'd have to get anyway. Kev at KG Bettas has some tank bred bettas that are quite cheap atm...

I would put several females in the 43 Litre tank and get a smaller 10-20L tank for one male. Some people I know have had males that aren't happy in a bigger tank... And 10-20 litres is quite spacious!

If I was you I'd buy a pet shop female, it'll quite probably end up male... Have fighter blood and be quite hardy! Also will probably turn out to be good PK shape for potential future breeding. Most come in quite young so you will know how old they are.

yeah I over spent! never mind lol. I got the website off of here, so thats why I posted it, none of the moderators have said anything so im leaving it there.
