Is this safe to use?

Hey there-

I have a bad case of the brown algae blues in my 55 gallon tank. Would this product be safe to use to clear it up?

The reason I ask is because I hate adding chemicles when not neccesary, but it is really starting to take over the tank despite my efforts to wipe it off the decorations and such three times a week.

I have clown loaches and cory's so this is why I ask?

Reading the blurb I'm not sure that it would get rid of the brown stuff on your decorations. Otos are supposed to be good for brown algae, that might be a more permanent solution perhaps?

Hi nina,
I tried that stuff and didnt have much luck. I'd advise you to get 3 or 4 ottos. I had a brown algea problem in my 10g planted. I moved 1 otto from my 29g to the 10g. Two days later, no more algea. I also hate to add chems to my tank.

I too have read that ottos can help, but I fear I may already be overstocked especially with my balas (2 are babies but will get big). So I was trying to avoid having to get anymore fish!

Mini suggestion: You could buy the ottos, then move them to your 10g after they finish cleanning.
