Is This Normal?

i have a male and female platie and i got a male fighter about 3weeks ago but nobody told me that these couldnt b together so i found out the hard way when my platies had wounds every where and parts of their tails missin so i did the best thing and took the male fighter back to the shop, anyways since then i have noticed that my male platie has been actin so weird and the only way to explain it is to say he has an itch and is itchin his head on everythin al the time and now i have notcied the female doing it,

IS THIS NORMALE BEHAVIOUR OR HAS THE MALE FIGHTER ATTACHS HAD SOMETHING TO DO WIV IT??

Can you see any white dots on him?

If he appears to be scratching himselt on objects in the tank (swiming up to them then darting away so his body just touches the leaf or whatever) then he could have Ick (whitespot). Get the meds. raise the temp to approx 30C & treat as per instructions. REMOVE CARBON filter if fitted.

Being stressed by other fish or water stats. leaves them prone to desease & whitespot is a common result with many fish including plattys.

It worked for me & there's plenty of info on this forum & the internet which will help. Thanks to all who helped me when were poorly.

If no whitespots but fish appears to be dusted with gold dust, is gasping and/or gills flaired then it could be Velvet.
