i was at my LFS today and i ended up talking to the guy there and we decided between us that the Rena XP 3 would be a good choice for me and my 80 gal tank.......it is rated for 170 gals....

will this suit my size of a tank quite well.... i am having a community Mbuna tank if that matters for filtration reasons

any other options offered up , i am all ears :D

The XP3 is a good option for that size tank. Since you're keeping mbuna, you should consider a second filter for extra mechanical and biological filtration. An AquaClear 500 would be a good, inexpensive choice.

thanks for the info... i was hoping it would be sufficent (since i ordered it last night), hahaha

i'll have to look into the aqua clear 500 unit aswell
