Okay here it goes:
I have a 15 gal tank: 3 tiger barbs, 6 albino barbs 2 small Gouramis and up until this morning 2 cherry barbs.

My cherry barbs are not thriving in this tank because my other barbs are kinda means and my cherries are way to intimidated to eat (they eat little falling crumbs-when the other fish are not looking)

I had no choice but to take them out and put them in my Hospital tank for safe keeping-they seem sooooo much happier.

I can't upgrade to a bigger tank- I have no room.

Should I buy a 5 or 8 gal tank? Add a couple of danios and 2 more Cherry barbs?

Or should I just leave my 2 homeless cherries in my spare 2.5 gal tank put in a silk flower and call it a day.

Thanks for your advice!
:S

I would always advocate getting another tank! You'll always find things to put in it. Cherry barbs are not schooling fish. Males may fight. They are best kept as a pair or trio 1 male 2 females.

thanks for the reply:

I'll give them their own place maybe a 5 gal.

They deserve a new place after what my tiger barbs put them thru! :D
