Is This A Suitable Tank

Thats Fine for a Single betta

Bigger would be better, but it'll do. My oldest betta, Dagon, is in a similar tank and has been for the past 10 months. Small tanks need more maintenance...and you have to be careful with the decorations, you don't want to block a lot of his swimming space.

Looks fine to me for a single guy. I have one in something similar and he does great in it.

Well larger spaces make bettas stressed (except when you are about to breed, then you will need a large tank) Even a jar would make a normal male betta happy. That tank should be more than sufficient. As long as he has enough space to swim, and stretch.

As most of the posts above have said, It will be fine for a single Betta, but yes be careful not to overcrowd the tank with a lot of plants. Give him/her some swimming room and so on.. Good luck with your Betta and hope to see pictures! :good:

I'm sorry, but, that is a myth. Bettas DO NOT, i repeat DO NOT like small tamks. The bigger the better.

Ive had Bettas in 3 gallons, because I wanted to save a couple extra. They seemed pretty happy.

Small tanks are ok temporarily, but IMHO they should live in 5 gallon tanks. 5 gallons are very easy to maintain and dont take up alot of room.

No no. A 3 gal. is a nicely sized tank. What ^^ he was saying was that bettas get stressed in large tanks, like im thinking 5 gals. and that they would be very happy in a 1/4 gal. jar.
