Is there such thing as gay fish?

Another thought, if we are going to anthropomorphosize (??) and compare fish behaviour to humans, perhaps it would be sensitive to keep away from negative value-laden words such as "messed-up"; a forum this size is very likely to have gay members, who might feel very alienated. Even I felt a bit taken aback simply because of the very good gay friends I have had. I am sure nobody meant to be offensive, but we need to be inclusive.

I was thinking that myself.

There are alot of gay animals, it been known for male swans to pair for life. There are also a type of monkey thats use's sex as a form of comuication.

I think people that have a problem with this behaviour, are scared of the un known, and maybe they should do some resurch before making comments.


on the livebearers, will mate with anything, and just because they mate with different speshes does'nt mean you will get fry. Like Mollies and Platties can NOT cross.
