Planned fish are (bold are ones I already have either in Rio 240 or Korrall 60 QT following recent purchase)...

  • Pearl Danios
  • Opsarius pulchellus (Pretty Hill Trout or Green-Barred Danio)
  • Yellowtail Congo Tetra
  • Panda Garra
  • Denison's Barb
  • African Bushfish
  • Orange-Ringed Barb
  • Humphead Glassfish
  • African Butterfly Fish
  • Either 4 Steatocranus cichlids (Lionhead variants) of one species or two from two species (but concerned about in-house aggression) OR 1 pair Steatocranus with 1 pair of another dwarf cichlid (possibly Pelviochromis/Nanochromis nudiceps coming from Congo this week)
  • Possibly 1 pair of African Filter Shrimp
If I was going to add a Killi pair, they would really need to be mainly top dwellers, which means they need to be able to "hold their ground" with what would initialy be one or two 5cm African Butterflies. Because of this, I think African Killis are out of contention and instead the Indian Golden Panchax would be best.

As a by the way, I have an Eheim 2078 external filter with "stream effect" arriving soon, to work in tandem with the Juwel Bioflow 8 and 1000 pump filter system ;)

Virtual penny for your thoughts?
