Is There A Pond Fish Forum Anywhere?

Hi

Can anyone recommend a cold water or pond fish forum or website where I can get advice?

One of my pond fish, a sarasa comet of about 5 years old, has become swollen around the abdomen area and it doesn't look like dropsy. As none of my pond fish have produced fry, I am not sure if the swelling is caused by eggs or whether there is something wrong with the fish.

I have been searching the web but cannot seem to find anything with answers.

Can you get a pic of the goldfish? Is the swelling un-even around the abdomen, or does it look bloated like this (extreme pic of bloating below);

Or not like either? At 4-5 years old the goldfish will be sexually mature, females become a lot rounder as they start to carry eggs at this age, so its also just posible that this is the case with your goldfish.

I will try and get a pic. Viewed looking down on the fish, the swelling looks like even 'bumps' on each side. Not really like the pic you attached. The fish is still eating and swimming around ok.

Where are you from?

Might be abdominal dropsy but as Tokis has mentioned we need pics. Could be a female carrying eggs or one that just ate too much and is constipated.
