Starting today I have the following happening after I log on from the main page if I click anything to go anywhere else on the site I am no longer logged on and must log on again. The same applies when trying to upload a new post or to enter the chat. In a nutshell, I have to re-log on with every click.

Also, I just edited a post about 30 minutes after making it and when I tried to edit this one to mention that I had to re-log on twice.

Hasn't happened to me as off yet, could it be your computer, perhaps?

I don't know if there is a site issue, but I do know that I couldn't upload some pictures lastnight, it kept giving me a message about "this extension is not allowed on this forum". But just the day before I had no problems with uploading pictures.

Everything is wrong with the site. I log out and when I come back on i'm logged in.
No emails either from the site which has been going on for a while.  So frustrating.

I'm having no troubles.

(oh, great, I jinxed myself)

I've been experiencing similar to what TTA describes, over the past several days.  I use Chrome, and normally when I open TTF it automatically logs me in.  Presently, it is still doing this most times, and I can see my list of threads (which obviously wouldn't show if not logged in), and open a thread, and type a post.  But when I go to post it, I find I am logged out and have to log in manually.  I'm having to re-log in at other times too, sporadically.

I use Pale Moon. But I am not having issues anyplace else.

And it is happening again now. Not fun. If it persists will take a vacation from posting I guess.

I'm using chrome and no issue here ..... yet

Am using Apple and firefox, no issues this end either have to say.

Perhaps it's your os or a pc/laptop firewall setting of sorts or something like that, don't think its this forum server as most folks are using this site without any apparent problems.

Do be aware am certianly no IT guy, just thinking aloud

To check things out I am now on my emergency browswer which is Firefox ver 28. I have the same problem on it.

Microsoft did serve up a huge pile of Windows 7 updates recently, but if that is the cause many more folks than have posted would be having issues.

This problem began yesterday and I was on the site and it was working fine wfter the windows updates.

Pale Moon did an update recently but then that would not explain the issue since it is there on FF as well.

I'm on windows 7 too TTA and I got all the new updates a couple of days ago (as if this machine wasn't running slow enough already

) and all seems fine at my end. I don't know if any of that helps you solve the issue but I thought I'd mention it :)

This sounds like an issue with the browser settings. If you are using privacy browsing you will have to do this, clearing the cache/history will do this as well, or not allowing cookies to be set.

Whatever the cause, it seems to have been fixed.

Just and FYI- I have not changed my browswer settings in some time. I store no cookies on my machine, I only permit per session cookies, I do not permit 3rd party cookies at all. I  have a program which automatically clears cookies and clears the cache when I close a window. I do not do tabbed browsing.

I do almost no private browsing.

I know it was not the recent browser update either because I was in the chat here when the notification of the available upgrade came. I left chat and the site, downloaded the update and then returned to the chat/site in a ne3 window. I had no issues.

The problem is now gone. Between the time it began and now it was not constant and I changed no settings. I regularly run malware blocking and have registry cleaners as well.

The fact the other folks with totally different hardware and software had a similar problem suggest to me this was not specific to me or my system.

I can also tell you that on Planetcatfish they also has some issue in the past two days which were experienced by some but not all and this too has cleared up.

Just as a general observation. In the beginning owning a PC was often a nightmare. Programs were not unified/synchronized and any time we added something it was common that the PC freaked.  Eventually this issues vanished. It was the same as the internet ramped up. And that too got smoothed. Today I see things taking a step backward in this respect as a few giant companies are now working to "force" users onto their system for everything. The result is a step backwards in terms of compatibility.

Use everything Apple or use everything Google or Microsoft etc. otherwise things may not work right with each other or at all. Isn't this pretty much what the cloud is all about for the individual user?
