So I have two male Bettas now in separate 1.5 or 2 gallon homes, both without heat (they were rescues from my wifes work). I know the temperature certainly does drop in there at night and never stays in the desired range, but they are both doing great. Very active, building bubble nests, eating well, etc.
I got a 10 gallon tank now and I was going to put at least one of them in there, maybe divide it and put them both in. I filled up the tank and it has a Penguin 100 that came with the kit, and it creates a pretty fair amount of surface movement. Are Bettas really THAT put off by current? Would it be better to leave them where they are currently since they seem to be pretty happy?
