Is She A Vt

ok so i thought she may have been a super delta

but she looks like a vt to me

scuse fuzzyness, but u can see her anal fin, its quite long

i'm not so sure, her tail looks like it has very straight edges, it only curves at the end, VT girls usually have very rounded tails. but i'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination.

well counting rays and comparing SD pics i thought she was a SD

its just that anal fin lol

anal fin looks much more like the delta/superdelta to me. how many times do her rays split?

Veiltail

Ok, highlighted in red we see that the edges of her tail are not straight, they curve in toward each other.

In green we see that she only has 2 ray, a veil tail female will NEVER have more then 2 rays.

and In blue we see her anal fin, its long and scopy but not very well defined or symmetrical.

Delta/Super delta

Red - The edges of her tail are straight, the DO NOT curve in toward eachother.

Green - She has 4 rays, deltas/super deltas can have between 2-6 rays.

Blue - Her anal isn't as scopey as the veiltail and is more well defined, this is the type of anal we will see on the halfmoons as well.

Her caudal edges are nice and straight, she seems too symetrical to be a vt, so I'd sat delta personally

well if its 3 then she's definitely not a VT but a delta at the moment, and ray extensions come in pairs, so she would end up with at least 4. also rays are counted by the largest number of splits, so if most of them are 2, but 1 of them splits into 3, then you count it as 3, even though its in the minority.

hope that made sense, i confuse even myself sometimes.
