Is Ro Water Like Tap Water But For Marine Tanks?

Sorry for the silly question but is RO water like tap water but for marine tanks?

I believe RO water has some form of minirals in it for the corals. I could be wrong though.

RO water is tap water that has had the impurities taken out, eg copper, phosphate, nitrate.

Ro water = reverse osmosis

it has had everything taken out of it, no heavy metals, cloramines, minerals dah de dah....................

We then add what our corals etc require, calcium, magnesium, minerals etc when we add salt to make salt water

distilled water is okay, it has everything removed. or you can boil tap water for 10-15mins, place a lid in the bot let it collect some water on the lid, i believe this water evaporated is good to use as RO.
