Is Nightlight Needed For Fish？

I have the LED hood for my fish tank. And my tank is in my bedroom. However, the LED is too bright. I wonder if i can let the fish stay in the dark for whole night!

Yes they will be fine during the night. If the tank is getting natural daylight then in theory you don't really have to put a light on at all unless you have a heavily planted tank. If no daylight gets to it then I'd say out your led light on for about 4-6 hours a day. to much light will encourage algae to grow. My lights are on a timer, they come on automatically at 6.30pm and go off automatically at 11.30pm
